Who I am

actually_nourished provides evidence-based nutrition guidance and 1:1 consultations to support individuals with their health through diet and lifestyle. The service is led by an AfN Registered Associate Nutritionist holding a BSc in Human Nutrition.

What information I collect and how

  • Through completion of a health questionnaire or food diary

  • During a nutrition consultation

  • Through email or other written correspondence

  • Via online payment processing

This may include your name, contact details, health history, dietary and lifestyle information, consultation notes, and payment details.

I use this information to provide you with a personalised nutrition service and to ensure your safety throughout. The legal basis for holding this data is legitimate interest and, where relevant, contract administration.

  • Deliver the nutrition service you have engaged me for

  • Maintain accurate records of your consultations and progress

  • Communicate with you regarding your appointments and programme

  • Improve the service I provide

  • With my registrant body, AfN, where required for the processing of a complaint

  • With any advisors or agents acting on your behalf, on the understanding that confidentiality is maintained

  • With legal or regulatory bodies where I am required to do so by law

  • With your GP or other healthcare providers, with your express consent or without consent if I believe there is an immediate risk to your life or the life of another

I will not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request that inaccurate or outdated data is corrected

  • Request deletion of your data, subject to any legal or professional obligations I hold

  • Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis

How long I keep your data

Any third-party processors I use are contractually bound to maintain appropriate security standards.
